Alliums

Alliums have a number of names including wild garlic and ransomes. This image was taken on a bright sunny day and I loved the contrast between the sunlight and the shadows.

When a woodland is full of alliums it is very difficult to get a close up photograph without standing on the plants and crushing them. That's when you realise that they really are wild garlic!
