Woodland

Britain was once covered in woods and forests, but now there is very little remaining of the original wildwood.

Antcient woodland is our own equivalent of the tropical rain forest and is home to a huge variety of trees, flowers, animals, birds, insects and fungi. In this gallery I have tried to show some of that diversity and how it changes through the seasons.
